I remember John & Iris spending many happy hours at social occasions with both my Dad & Mum after Buggy and John struck-up a close friendship as Teammates playing for Sneyd Park in the 50’s and 60’s.
Across the decades, in so many roles and ways, John has been part of my life, as well as helping hundreds of others throughout local football.
His calm, engaging and welcoming demeanour and interesting anecdotes will be very much missed.
John was truly a gentleman of Sneyd Park, as well as of the Bristol Downs League.
Definitely a life so well lived.
